我们都知道,中国古代国色天香的四大美女,分别是西施、貂蝉、王昭君和杨贵妃。那么,西施到底有多美呢?李白《子夜吴歌·夏歌》中这样写西施:“镜湖三百里,菡萏发荷花。五月西施采,人看隘若耶。回舟不待月,归去越王家。”
从来都是看脸的时代。历代好尚或有不同,爱美之心古今无异。君不见“楚王好细腰,宫中多饿死”。君不闻长安语曰:“城中好高髻,四方高一尺;城中好广眉,四方且半额;城中好大袖,四方全匹帛。”未曾听说古希腊的海伦除了美貌,又有何德何能而值得一场十年之久的特洛伊战争?
在理想国里,美女是怒放的鲜花,芳香,娇嫩,永不凋零;在现实中,美女和我们常人一样,有生,也有老、病、死,有无可奈何花落去的时候。于是,在历史上,这个地方如同沙场,理想与现实旅进旅退、此起彼伏、交互作用,美女的下场总是莫衷一是,众说纷纭,沸沸扬扬,永无定论。西施就是这样。
In 1995, Shanghai Museum purchased a bronze object from Hong Kong. The object was a gift traced back to King Fuchai of the Wu State. It was a gift from the king to a woman whose origin of family and name were not important enough to be engraved on the bronze piece. Experts conjectured that it was a gift from Fuchai to Xi Shi.
