椭圆形，一边圆一边相对扁一点。圆面凹坑相对大也不太密集。扁面凹坑相对小而密集。（尤其4个边缘处明显，3个边面凹坑相对稀疏且大，一个边面凹坑密集而小）可以看到明显的透光呈现红色，并且有两块不透光的黑色物质在里面，不透光根本看不出来。
地表发现的玻璃陨石多呈块状，棕黑色到浅绿色，一般为厘米级大小，表面多具空气动力学熔蚀刻痕。文山市的王先生所收藏的这块玻璃陨石是他的母亲传给他的，早些年他母亲在水泥厂工作，负责水泥所需原材料黄土的装卸工作，偶然间发现了这块玻璃陨石也就不足为奇，发现至今也快三四十个年头了。
The above glass meteorite has glass luster. Because of the glass luster formed by the flow at high temperature， it gives people a very mysterious feeling. It is incompatible with the minerals on the earth.
