日本漫画家鸟山明的《七龙珠》是台湾人相当熟悉的作品，不只在亚洲有着高知名度，更是红到了欧美地区。《七龙珠》中的战斗民族赛亚人包含主角孙悟空、达尔等，在变身后会成为「超级赛亚人」，外型会呈现金发，然而此一设定却遭Youtuber Kaneesha质疑是崇尚白人主义，并语带讽刺地批评日本人在《七龙珠》诞生的90年代就有这种思想。
