每年的3月12日是中国植树节。今天我们就来聊聊跟树有关的英语表达。不少同学的印象中，植树节的英文是Tree Planting Day，国内学校也是这样教的。不过外国（特别是美澳）并不这样表达，而是用Arbor Day。很多国家都有自己的植树节。
植树节”是一些国家以法律形式规定的以宣传森林生态效益，并动员全民参加植树造林而规定的节日。通过这种活动，激发人们爱林、造林的感情，提高人们对森林功用的认识，促进国土绿化，达到爱林护林和扩大森林资源、改善生态环境的目的。
比如说:美国的植树节是4月10日，德国的植树节是4月25日，日本的植树节在5月4日，巴西的植树节则在9月21日，印度植树节在7月1日，西班牙的植树节是2月1日，澳大利亚的植树节是在5月份的第一个星期五。
