连手术的机会都没有了的晚期宫颈癌患者，经过中山大学肿瘤防治中心针对性地进行后装近距离放疗，患者存活了7年，且一直是无瘤生存。2021年1月份，来自西藏的曲女士来到中山大学肿瘤防治中心放疗科曹新平教授的诊室，为她的主诊医生送上了珍贵的哈达。
2023年美国临床肿瘤学会大会已于当地时间6月2日-6日盛大召开，本次会议中，在头颈部肿瘤领域，多项国内研究均被纳入ASCO口头报道，其中有一项研究入选LBA，是今年中国内地的2项LBA之一，主要研究者是中山大学肿瘤防治中心马骏教授，可谓“中国之光”。
