Abstract There are three theoretical questions in the 22nd Asian Physics Olympiad Theoretical Exam， and the second question was entitled a Mechanical Model for Phase Transitions， which used Landau phase transition theory as the background to study the motion of a bead on the rotating ring， and established the mechanical model of the phase transition.
