Since the discovery of oil and gas resources in the levant basin and other places， the claims of exclusive economic zone have been put forward by the surrounding coastal states. Among these countries， the dispute between Lebanon and Israel over offshore oil and gas is typical and intractable. This paper first introduces the national conditions of the two countries and the relationship between the two countries， laying the groundwork for future solutions. Then the oil and gas dispute is explained objectively and the reasons for the demarcation of the exclusive economic zone of the two countries are analyzed. Finally， it is concluded that the whole paragraph can be settled through the political settlement mediated by the United Nations women's council or international maritime customary law， so as to settle the oil and gas dispute between the two countries at an early date and restore the international peace order!
