The number of China-Europe Railway Express freight trips reached 2，928 in the first two months of 2024， up 9 percent year on year. About 317，000 twenty-foot equivalent units of goods were transported via the freight train services during this period， up 10 percent from a year earlier， according to the China State Railway Group Co.， Ltd. By the end of February， the train services had expanded to cover 219 cities across 25 European countries.
China will promote the green development of the Belt and Road， strengthening international cooperation on the issue， according to a guideline issued recently by the National Development and Reform Commission and three relevant departments. China aims to form a green development pattern for the initiative by 2030 ， said the guideline.
